Default 2005 Roadtrek Ground Effects

My ground effects are loose in a couple places. How do I reattach them? Any specific adhesive(s) or double stick tape?

Thanks, Bob

The ground effects are attached to the van behind the black molding And at the bottom with clips. The clips will rust and fall out.

If loose above, you'll need to remove the black molding to 'see' how it is attached to the van. If loose at the bottom, pull out a clip and jury rig something that will work unless the clips are available somewhere.

What about using 3M VHB trim tape? Most automobile manufacturers use that now to attach trim pieces.

Just as folivier mentioned in the post above, I used 3M VHB tape when a rear corner came a little loose. It worked great.

Thanks to all. I see it comes in different widths. Can I safely assume you have to somehow get to the area and clean real good with alcohol prior to applying tape.

Exactly. I was able to reach where mine was loose. I started with a fine grit sandpaper lightly used just to get the road dirt off a bit and then used alcohol. Being of the if some is good more is better school, I would think a wider width would be advisable. I don't recall what width I used because I already had some on hand. That 3M product is pretty amazing stuff.

Thanks. As long as my vertigo doesn't kick in I'm good with the prep work. I think I have some 1 inch 3m already. Mine is the rear bumper cover that is loose. I will start with the inner most (center) of the cover and work my way out.
I am also looking at replacing/moving the shore power receptacle AND possibly the shore water connection. I've purchased the smart plug and have it on hand.

The clips are available at Mobilife RV in Kitchener Ontario. Here's the link
