1998 Roadtrek 170, finding door lock actuator!

I would appreciate any advice finding this part, My local Dodge dealer was unable to order it stating that it is discontinued and I have been unable to locate an after-market one.

Front passenger-side door-lock actuator.

likely a part common to many dodges


try pick a part if you are handy
( I love pulling parts as it lets know exactly what you are up against to get to a part- it's like a rehearsal)


or call around junk yards ( parts recyclers ) with part number

Dont know if there is a left and right models but make sure you choose the correct one.

I did with the top one and it was the wrong part although I'm not sure about the Walmart one and will try that.

Re: junkyards, that may be my next step. I'm pretty remote from most but will follow up.

Try searching "door lock actuator" on Amazon. I used a universal one on the right side double door. Worked great

For used parts from across the country try, car-part.com and partshotlines.com. Search for "Lock Actuator". I found only one listed in my area, but you could also search for front door and then choose electric or auto option. Then call the various yards that get a hit and ask them if they will pull one from a door (some want to keep the doors complete/intact). If you find one,they will ship it to you. They usually warranty items for 30 days or more. Used may not be your your first choice, but it is an option.

P.S. Also, determine whether your rv was built on a 1997 or a 1998 chassis. There were major changes made to the body for 1998 including different front doors (which may or may not use the same actuators).
