Default We're new to this !

Hoping to take delivery on a 2003 QD this Friday. This is our first RV and we're wondering what are 3 things we should always do and 3 things we should never do. Also, what are the most popular mods or problems that need to be addressed on this year/model. I believe it sat mostly unused for the last 2 years.

Thanks ! We're excited and looking forward to starting our camping around the Orlando area.

Hi BoB N Dedra , Welcome to the forum. Three things good & bad, the first thing I would do . Because it's been sitting for a few yrs. ck. all seals , break lines, tires. Change oil n filter, get a major tuneup, ck n change gas filters. The rest will be cked. as you start useing it, but do it all at home before you leave on a trip. Wires, water lines. Ck for roof leaks around all seals, might have to recaulk areas.

I my self use HD Mobil 1 oil & VW filters I try to keep as much as possible factory. I also do all the work myself so it saves a few $$$$ but sometimes you can't. On the open hwy. I use cruise control as often as I can, big help on MPG. We just got back from Fl. & avg. 18 1/2 MPG , got 21 a few times & also 14 with hills & no cruise control. Headind back to Orlando in Nov. then staying down a few months.

Wishing you all the luck & enjoy your Rialta.

Maybe we'll see each other on the rd. You never know.
