Default New User says Hi

Perhaps I should have started here! Anyway let me say I'm from the UK and am touring the USA in modest stages, started in Phoenix and the van is currently stored in WA. Along the way I sold an A class and Toad in Modesto, CA and purchased an elderly B class Dodge Xplorer, (off someone from this site though I did not know that at the time).

He even posted pics Class B Forums - NickK's Album: 1988 Xplorer 228 I removed the aft facing dinette seat so I could swivel both front seats.

Welcome to the forum Tourist!

Always good to hear different perspectives on rv's. My parents had the exact model Xplorer (a model year or so older) and they allowed us to take a few trips in it 35 years ago. Well, last year we bought an rv for my wife and I to travel in and we didn't consider anything but a class b. Hope you're having as much fun as we are.

There were elements to the Class A I liked, who wouldn't rather live in a bigger house, but I found it awkward. I'm foreign and it was easier with a big rig to stay on the big roads and I had to plan ahead. Now I'm easier with the back roads, can stop spontaneously, (easier to do than spell), and take a chance on a night stop. This summer Trans Canada to Calgary and then back to the USA for Yellowstone and the Sawtooths.

Welcome, Tourist! I agree: if your travel style involves moving around a lot, smaller is better. Happy travels!

Hi Joan, I think you click on the users name and look for the private message link.
