We just purchased a 2000 Rialta HD outside of Portland, Oregon and we're driving it back to our home near Atlanta, GA. We did a lot of research and determined that the HD is the right configuration for our needs. So far our route back east has included stops at Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We were on our way down to Flagstaff to join up with I-40 and start our route eastward when the a/c compressor went out. We've had to hang out in Flagstaff (not a bad place to be stuck) while a new compressor could be sent out from Europarts SD. We had the new unit installed today and we're now back on the road.
We love the well thought-out compactness, quality, and "go anywhere" capability of the Rialta. We're impressed with how easy it is to navigate and park. Immediate needs include new shocks (to be sourced from Europarts SD) and new rear air suspension bags (slow leak), and a new gasket for the windshield. We'll take care of those things when we get home.
We plan to reupholster/freshen the interior and a exterior repaint of some type to update the appearance. We're lalso ooking for a new set of aluminum style wheels or find a new wheel with the compatible offset and lug bolt pattern.
We look forward to many future adventures with our "updated" Rialta.
