Default Hey from CA

I'm a retired guy who just bought a 99 Pleasureway class b with only 36,000 mi. It looks mostly new inside and out and I'm excited to be able to travel after having to work up until recently. I'm getting it set up with I think new shocks and maybe air bags in the back, and then I'm hitting the road.

Hi, Jerry! The 99 Pleasureway is a Dodge, correct? I have a Dodge from the same year, but a different brand.

Hello, If you are on FB, I recommend you join the following group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1320069544851352/ There is another group with a similar name that is run by a very interesting person who takes great delight in correcting any suggestions or posts she does not agree with, and has banned many people because of this. The above group was started by a banned member and is very helpful regarding any suggestions or ideas to keep your PW running and improving your RV experience. I traded in my PW Excel for a newer PW Plateau XL but stayed in the group because of how positive it is. Enjoy your rig and travels! PW makes a great product!

If the tires are over 5 years old, I would think about changing to newer tires, due to ozone and UV damage on the rubber. Even if stored indoors, or with tire covers, there is always ozone damage. A tire blow out at 65 mph and resulting damage will max out your deductible, vs $1000 for 4 new Michelins. When we bought our 2019 Travato59K in Jan, 2024, we changed the tire within 3 months. The Michelin Agilis was well worth it for handling, ride, stopping distance, and peace of mind.
Also think about getting a new chassis battery after 5 years old.
