Default Hello from SW Washington

I just a couple of months ago purchased a 97 Dodge Leisure Travel van wide body, Freedom model van with 130,00 miles in GREAT shape, but needed a lot of running gear repairs.

I never owned a van before, but numerous slide in overhead campers & a few trailers. This has been an experience as no owners manual or seller help as Grandpa (original owner) now in assisted living & all paperwork missing. So I am putting together my own manuals off internet. And learning from the School of Hard Knocks.

I have found numerous items where no information available as to where the switches are hidden & the reprint manuals are VERY VAGUE.

Hope to get some use out of it as my wife of 61 years recently passed away.

Welcome to the forum! I don't have a van like yours, but some people do and if you post a request for information with your van type in the title, you will probably get a response from someone who knows your systems.

Condolences on your loss.

There are probably several Leisure Travel van owners on the forum willing to help out with specifics.

Lots of system parts are common to other brands so even more folks will help answer questions and solve problems.

Also, Triple E - Triple E Recreational Vehicles - Freedom To Explore - might be able to answer question. They continue to support older units. They sent me some info on a 16 year old model.

You probably have already seen these two owner manuals for the 1997 model year:

https://cdn.ltvdns.com/tripleerv.com...ber%201997.pdf

if not take a look at them.

There's also a group on Facebook, do a search for Leisure Travel Freedom Widebody
Some good ideas and info there.
