Default Hello fellow campers!

Hi there,

Looking forward to making new friends and learning new tricks about camping and travelling with a Class B. I currently own a 1978 Ford Vantastik I bought in 2014.

She's old but she still got a lot of spunk. Original paint, never winter driven, mechanically sound, and a pleasure to drive. Unfortunately, the poor girl has a drinking problem. Lol! Ah well, we love her just the same. My family and I have had some amazing trips in this van.

Thanks!

You're right about those older models being easy and cheap to fix. In almost three years of owning our van we've put about $500 in repairs in it. You can't beat that! If you don't mind my asking, what year is yours and how is it on gas? As much as we love Cocotte (that's her name), there will come a day when she'll have to be replaced and Roadtreks are on the short list.

That's funny you would choose a roadtrek as your next choice, we have a 1997 dodge roadtrek 190,and same as you, absolutely love it, its taken us to so many special places, from the east coast, top of Newfoundland, and down to Key West, the grand canyon, and everywhere in between. I only wish we did this many years ago, its the best way to travel for us. Yes gas prices are a little hard to take sometimes, but it still beats the hotels and restaurants, we get to cook some great healthy meals, and always sleep in our own bed, cant beat it........

We have a 1990 Leisure Sport B. Interior is first class construction, swivel captain chairs, and as I shrink with age (you will too, someday), I can actually stretch full out in the almost 6' bed. Exterior and awning and everything else is A-1 too. Mileage varies between 13 - 18 mpg, not often up to 18. Cruise control, flat roads and tail wind sure help.
Enjoy you unit!

Hello Suzzz

Welcome to the board, this is a great site for all questions and answers. We are getting lots of help from everyone here and also from all the older thread searches.
Maybe cross paths on the maritime roads this summer
