Smile Greetings and salutations from Alabama

Hello all! New to site. Recently purchased a 2014 Roadtrek 190 Popular (Big Edna II) replacing an older 1997 CoachHouse 192 KS (Big Edna).

I have been V'ing for some time in different class vehicles and tows and am still learning. Medically retired after a long career with the US Army, Civil Service, and private sector work. Enjoying life and hoping to rack many miles on "Big Edna II!"

Look forward to gleaning valuable knowledge on the up keep and enhancements of my vehicle from this site. Look forward to further collaboration.

Best. Shorty (aka Shore-T) sends...

Hey Shorty,
Let me say welcome, I'm only been her for a couple months but want to say hey. I'm retiring in 12 months 7 days and I'm moving to Alabama (Phenix City) are you finding it hard to boondock in the area? I can't wait to get down there currently in Washington state. I love the humidity so that's not a problem.

Mr_ed right back you! Seems you’re on final and have the runway in sight! Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. I mostly stick to Corps of Engineer Camp Grounds due to their proximity to lakes and rivers. However we have a good number of National Forrest here and also in the surrounding states of GA, TN, FL and MS. You will not want to miss exploring Bankhead National Forrest, Talladega National Forest and Conecuh National Forrest in AL though. Each of these offer unique opportunities. There is more than plenty to do here in AL and the cost of living is just right. Good speaking with you. Travel safe, stay alert. Best. Shorty sends…
