I’ve been looking for a few months before I decided to post I wanted to read everything that was posted here.
In January I bought my first class B RV. I’ve been camping for a very long time. I designed my pick up truck to handle all my camping needs. But because of my discovery of pickle ball And my wishes to travel and play and bring my buddy. I decided to get a class B. I got a deal on craigslist and found a 2005 road trek on a Chevy chassis it had 20,000 miles on it with 40 hours on the generator what a deal.
I had several challenges, the first having the wing window on the driver side almost fall off. Fix that.
Found that the battery trays were corroded, fixed that.
DVD went out decided to upgrade to a new flatscreen HD TV DVD combo modified the mount to fit the new tv.
Created a removable mount to add a digital TV antenna and expandable pole.
Installed a back up camera.
And designed a screen to keep the back doors open and keep the dog in.
Install a plug in for solar panels.
Now getting ready for adventure.
For future reference (and for others in the same boat), low hours on the generator is not a good sign. I hope yours is working well, but they are supposed to be run 2 hours a month to keep in good shape.
