Default 1998 22QD New to me....

Hi!

Long time RVer here. Looking to purchase a 1998 Rialta 22QD from a friend. She says the refrigerator (Norcold 3163VWG - 3 way) needs to be replaced. My question is this: Is this model still available? Is there another model that can work in the opening? I can go to a 2 way if needed. Also, has anyone out there converted the current refrigerator opening to storage and then installed a different fridge elsewhere in the rig? (possibly in the closet next to the bathroom). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I would like to know the exect same thing! I looked all around for a replacement that would fit the opening but to no avail. Did find a couple two way options but really wanted gas for the amount of dry camping that I plan on doing.

What 2 way options did you find? If I can't find the 3 way I'll just have to go with that.

1) has the fridge been checked ,,,i was told thsi also and after a clean up it works nice

2) there is lots of danfoss compressor 12V fridge on the market that fits there ...( if mine breaks ,that will be it )

way better temp control then any 3 way fridge

3) your imagination is the limit about comverting ypur rialta ......the cbainet beside the toilet is a great alternative

I have the 22FD with the small fridge below the stovetop. It is a booger to remove, but once out it can be cleaned well and specially the propane orifice. Do not damage the tiny orifice hole, blow it out or use very fine wire. After cleaning mine and reinstalling, it works. I do have to sometimes start it with the "start" knob turned to the right a bit.
