Default Sirius XM in RV without Sirius XM radio Installed

I am a big fan of Sirius XM, in the house and both SUVs. Problem was our 2007 RT210 does not have a Sirious XM radio installed.

A few months ago Sirius XM came out with Sirius XM out of the car to subscribers for free.

We have a surround system that came factory installed in our 210 so I did some experimenting.

I have the out of the car app installed on my smartphone, i took the RCA input jack from the surround sound system and plugged it into the
Audio/earphone jack on the smartphone, pulled up the Sirius XM app, tuned to one of our favorite stations
and now we have Sirius XM radio in the RV at no extra cost.

I just keep the smartphone plugged into the 12vdc
Outlet to keep it fully charged while driving down the road.

Driving down the road in the RT210 just became even more enjoyable.

We are just the opposite. We do have Sirius/XM capable radio in our Class B so subscribed and now with the app we can enjoy it other than the van. The problem is, I don't listen to much radio other when I drive and there are so many competing options on an iPhone and now I am hooked on podcasts when I walk or hit the gym.

The new kid in town is Echo Auto:
https://www.amazon.com/Echo-Auto-Add.../dp/B07VTK654B
Makes Alexa your co-pilot. It is awesome. Connects to your car's Bluetooth and uses your phone for an Internet connection. There are all kinds of free content available, including the audio stream from several cable news channels, such as CNN. Zero recurring charges. Alexa knows many useful tricks. For example, you can tell it to remind you about something when you pull into your driveway. It can route you to locations using your phone's map app. You can ask it about traffic. You can make "drop in" calls to your home Alexa devices, etc.

Recommended.
