Default New TV & DVD Player For my Roadtrek

Upgraded the TV & DVD player today....

The original TV, Samsung 19' flat screen circa 2005 -

The Jwin DVD player -

Replaced the tv with a Vizio 24 inch LED Smart TV, Model # D24-F1.... 1080P, Smart Apps & built in Wifi, $140 at Best Buy -

A new Blu-ray player, Samsung model BD-j5100/ZA, has smart features as well, $60 at Best Buy -

A great feature is that I can control the DVD player with the Visio remote, must be the HDMI connection between the two...

I bought a ONN Full Motion TV Wall Mount for 13"-32” TVs, $20 at Wal Mart -

It has adjustable side to side and vertical tilt, strong & easy -

What motivated me was an upcoming trip with my girl...going up to Mt. Rushmore and then over to Devils Tower in Wyoming....and a trip to Devils Tower would not be right unless you had seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which my girlfriend has not.

I also ordered the Blu Ray DVD and we'll watch the movie in the Black Hills before we drive to Wyoming....

Especially the Special Edition of the movie which has him..... That's a mighty cool movie and I know specifically where "Cornbread Rd" is - have seen the sign many times on my way to visit my youngest son and his wife in Muncie, Indiana.

Sony has a 12 volt (wall wort) Blu Ray player for $80. BDPS3700.

I picked up one at Walmart. It is smaller than the standard shelf player and you should use a voltage stabilizer with it.

Gotta admit mine is still in the box but it will replace the 110 volt version in the class C.

It always helps to read how others upgrade their RVs. Thanks for the post.
