APC SurgeArrest / Schneider Electric recall

Schneider Electric IT Corporation is recalling 7 series and 8 series APC SurgeArrest devices.
All affected units were manufactured before 2003.

I have three APC Surge Arrest units affect by this recall. All three have been approved for replacement. The claim procedure is easy. Just take a photo of the serial number on the surge device and fill out the online form and attach the photo. You get an email back indicating that your claim has been approved. APC / Schneider will mail the replacement units to you.
