Default Ron's Door Limiter

A simple but very effective idea:

Notes & Photos from Ron:

To limit the swing of the door on-demand, I came up with this easy solution. See my pictures. The right kind of strong rope is best over a chain or cable as it relaxes perfectly with the door closed, is easily unhooked, has "soft-stop" action from it's natural stretch, hangs out of the way when not desired, and is "rattle" free.

Total cost for parts is a couple dollars.

Speaking from experience with our old motor home, under certain conditions, the wind can rip the door out of your hands. It's nice to be able to attach the rope to both hooks while the door is closed, to prepare for a windy opening. The rope does NOT get in the way of the user. No "hanging in your face" condition.
