Default xantrex 2000

My coach less than a year old has 2 100amp lithium batteries with a 2000 watt xantrex inverter. All worked fine until we ran turned microwave on last week using just 120v from the inverter. Red light on bottom of inverter panel came on and alarm beeped. Batteries show full charge which I believe they are but the code 01 says to check battery charge. What else should I check? The microwave runs fine on shore and generator power. thanks

It probably was the low voltage cutout on the inverter that tripped.

First look at the inverter settings and see where the low voltage cutout is set as it might be set too high.

You also could have undersized wiring or poor, high resistance, connections in the current path. Depending on how big the microwave is you are likely looking at some pretty large cable to prevent voltage drop depending on how long the run is. Inrush current on a microwave can be 1.5X the running amps or more sometimes. It is also possible that one of the batteries was offline for some reason which would make the other one more likely not to be able handle the load.

Booster's analysis sounds plausible. Just one point of clarification:

When he says "pretty large cable", he is talking about the 12VDC wiring between the batteries and the inverter, NOT the 120VAC wiring from the inverter to the microwave. The latter is very likely just fine.

This is a 6 month old pleasureway. I am sure the wiring and size are all correct and appliances as well. . Can you explain "Low voltage cutout" being set too high. That kind of sounds contradictory but because I am not very inverter savy. I just don't know how that would have changed. Thank you!

The xantrex manual will explain how to set the high voltage limit, I had to do the same and it eliminated the over voltage beep and red light. The manual should also give the limits that you can set it to.

Cheers!
