That's exactly what wincrasher said... RT uses some kind of contraption to hold the panels above roof vents, air conditioner and stacks.

The Sprinter XL with the undermount airconditioner might be the only exception.

Actually, no they don't. The way they do it is by using multiple sizes of solar panels, some large some small, to utilized what would otherwise be wasted space surrounding other equipment.

Except for some cosmetic items, Roadtrek no longer allows ordering discrete options on their Sprinters. Yes, you can choose 270, 470 or 600 watts but it requires ordering an entire expensive package. For example, going from 470 to 600 watts results in a package price increase in the area of $15,000.
