Did Something Like That
I replaced the original flat mounted TV in our 2004 Free Spirit with a Vizio unit on a pivoting monitor mount. I made sure I had good support for the mount by gluing a section of 2X4 wood on the other side of the wall where the mount now is. I used lag screws to attach the monitor mount. These screws go through the wall and get a good bite in the 2X4.
I would think you can get a good installation anyplace you have access to what's behind.

I used a Kanto Mount, I think it was called PS300 & there is even a better one, the PS400 for my needs.
Connected it to the Passenger side closet which on the 05 Roadtrek 190, is 3 sheets thick.
And then hung a huge 43" Samsung Smart TV - way too much, especially for a person who doesn't watch tv
It is a big TV - took it down & am putting in a 32" model instead

It depends on the weight of your TV, the quality & extension of the mount, will it be held static when driving & the integrity of the structure it will be attached to.
Here is my wall, which is only two pieces of Roadtrek material, drilled through & then bolted (before I shortened the bolts & put cap nuts on them).
Remember there is no cabinet that mine is attached to.

Here is another photo of my excessive TV, now removed after we lost the 2019 Rugby World Cup (plus I never watch TV but feed lots of video content from around the World).

don't know what your starting point is
in our pleasure way the tv was mounted to a swinging door so can be viewed from the front
my replacement TV I mounted to this door bending a steel bracket
using 2 of the TV's 4 mounting points and screwing into the door

We mounted a 22" to the back of the tambor door cabinet on swing out mount that I modified to have a swivel TV mounting plate on our 200v. We would turn the TV sideways for storage and used a lightweight bungie cord to hold it in place against the driver's side wall. Not the most elegant storage setup but worked fine for us until we sold it it last year.
With proper placement the TV will swing out for viewing from the front. The van is gone so I can't help with the exact placement of the mount.
The back wall of that cabinet needed no additional bracing, I just used some through bolts with fender washers on the inside.
The mount is still available at the big A.

It is a 22" samsung T22C350ND from costco @$125ish- now obsolete
The speakers on the swinging door are from the old set up and not used
it is the largest tv I could fit on that door without sticking into the aisle, it's mounted offset towards the wall
these samsungs are 14 VDC native ( come with an AC/DC transformer) and use the same coax power plug the original tv did
has a headphone out, which is how the old tv got audio into the power amp & bedroom speakers
so a quick easy swap
the auto program channel scan works well
this also has a media player and movies/tv/music on a thumb drive can be played thru the tv - a thumb drive can hold a hundred movies
I liked the tv so much I went back for the 32" version for our guest room

Mike,
How can you determine whether or not a TV is native 12 volt (meaning I could make a wire going directly to my electrical system (with a fuse)

My Samsung 22" ( and the 32" in the guest room) were both sold with "brick" type transormers, about the size of a laptop power adapter
looking at the label they are rated for input and output
the one on my guest room tv is rated:
Input: 100-240 VAC ( or marked with a sine wave~) 50/60 HZ, 1.0A
Output 14 VDC often marked with a straight line with a dashed line- - - - below it and the current 3A
so we can see what voltage is expected by the device( 14VDC) , and the load it will draw from the electrical system, 3 amps
a device such as a tv or laptop sold with an adapter may not have any electrical markings on it, since they are on the provided power supply.
- sidebar
the samsung home smart tv's have real privacy concerns in the TOS, the owner maybe required to allow streaming/recording of audio from the mic in the remote, and/or allow a record of every tv show, dvd, streaming , web content displayed on the screen to be available to samsungs and it's partners. diabolical

Thank you Mike,
I am going there now, Best Buy & will take a closer look.
As for the Privacy stuff, I don't think Samsung is excited about what I watch or play ie; youtube, motorcycle go pro stuff, using it as a monitor
