Default Solar panel regulator reading

I've had a roof mounted solar panel for several years. I've had zero issues with it. However, this year for no apparent reason, the voltage reading on the GoPower controller suddenly started to give readings that are twice the actual voltage. With a fully charged battery, for example, it will read something in the order of 26 or 27 volts, plus or minus. The system still functions, controlling the power flow from the panel according to the battery charge level (and giving what would appear to be accurate readings), but the absolute (battery) voltage reading seems to be exactly double what it should be. Any thoughts?
