2005 Chevy 190 - removed the old porch light - even with a brighter LED bulb, it was pretty anemic and the light was not well dispersed. Had a hard time finding a replacement that was tall enough to cover the hole from the original light. Wound up with a motion sensitive unit: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00UO6HP...V4KT5Q97DCS0T3. I really like it - you can change it from being a motion light to being switched manually on/off. Covered up the old hole perfectly, and almost too bright.

Default Light Replacement

I drilled out the rivets, removed the original fixture, used crimp on splices to connect a new LED fixture to the original wiring, drilled holes for the new fixture, applied silicon chalk to the back of the fixture, screwed it into place, and it has worked perfectly for two years and counting.

Mine is riveted in place. I want to temporarily move it to see if I can access the wiring for a useful LED light that would be mounted just to the rear of the OE light.
Before doing so, I wanted to see if I could get information that may be helpful.
Actually I need a cover for my porch light, does anyone have one?
