Magnum is a good brand, congratulation. I would assume your Trip-Lite inverter was simply kaput or wrong match for loads, I doubt that the failure had anything to do with the generator, just can't see a connection but I could be wrong.

Personally, I would choose a full sine inverter for microwave and induction stove – they are inductive loads, hopefully the modified sine wave will work.

Another example that RT does not test their products, either in the lab, or in the production run.
