Pleasureway Onan 2800 Microlite KV

Hi, I’m new here and was wondering if anyone has dropped an Onan 2800 out of an 06 Pleasureway Excell or any Pleasureway? To do repair and other maintenance I am going to do this at home. Looking at a 3” low profile flat motorcycle jack and have rv wheels up on 2X12 blocks for genset clearance. But the way Pleasureway crammed the wiring and fuel line up there looks like they built an Onan ship in a bottle. Just curious if any of you good people out there had any suggestions as far as pulling wires etc. Thanks!

Hi Yogi Welcome,



The usual "2 arm" motorcycle lift is a good choice as it will keep it level and give pretty good control.


There are plenty of posts and pics and a PW specific site may be of more value.


Over on FB seen a couple dropped out of Excels fairly recently.


Popular to add a petcock on the fuel line and to move the fuel filter and pump to an area more easily serviced, mounted on a frame rail- there are posts and pics on that as well.

Your genny is mounted on the side? I see mention that an owner was able to drop it connected but for 1 ground wire

It’s mounted on the driver side and sitting in a metal cradle bolted to frame from underneath. Looks like the wires are run tight but I’ll look again. That would be great if there was slack in main wires! ����
