Onan Problem

Genny has been running fine, however, a recent development. When I go to shut the gennie off after a run, I hit the stop side of the rocker and the gennie keeps running. The run light on the remote switch turns off and the gennie starts to stop but revives at the last instant and keeps on running. I have to hit the start side of the switch, the light comes back on and I hit stop again. Sometimes I have to repeat this sequence 3 or 4 times. Has anyone else experienced this? Any possible ideas for a cure?

you need to hold the stop button until it completely stops, not just hit it and release.

Unfortunately, that is usually the way I do it...sometimes it slows down and revives with my finger still holding stop.

What is the gen model number. I have some schematics I can look at for you. Also, have you tried stopping it from the gen itself? If so, what results?
