Onan generator issue 6.5 NH-3CR

Hey everyone,
I let a friend mechanic replace my solenoid which was running fine. When putting it back together he put the wire that was supposed to be on the left side of solenoid on the right with the positive battery cable. It sparked when he put the battery cable back on and now it won't even turn over. Any ideas what it messed up?

I replaced the solenoid with a new one and it still doesn't do anything.

I'm confused. You said it was running fine, so why did you let him replace it?

It was cracked. Still working tho. I don't think it damaged anything. It had a 3 terminal and it was changed to a 4 terminal. Something is wired incorrectly.
