I was asked to take the conversation elsewhere.
So I will.

yep, and doing the typical internet arguing method of insisting on "proof" as in demanding it for one year warranty models being better than longer warranties. Of course, nobody said they were, and he hasn't posted any proof of longer warranty vehicles being better.
Quote:
Warranties are only as good as the dealer that does the warranty work. In the RV world that seems to be highly questionable

That statement, in itself, explains a whole lot about the basic understanding of the topic, as it is really one of the major root causes of RV complaints.

It was not my intent to hijack this thread
So tomorrow after talking with RoadTrek I'll start another thread on the topic of warranties

and that they are looking at it as a substitute for some Lithium batteries so instead of 4 batteries you might just need 2, with the 2 removed replaced with the fuel cell.
They said something that did not sound good
that the actual fuel cell lasts just 1,000 hrs of operation
and then a new one must be swapped in
kind of like a water purifier works until it gets clogged up with impurities
then you buy a new filter
I'm getting the feeling that Roadtrek wants folks who live in hot climates, like Florida, to run their A/C 24 hrs a day and not have a generator/alternator run while it's chilling the coach.
The fuel cell generates 45 dB of noise, the same as your laptop so this gizmo is going to sell a lot of stand-alone generators, probably 100 times more than in RVs.
The WATT guys said that a BBQ sized propane tank should last 3 weeks in normal use - that would be fantastic to keep the A/C running 24/7 in Florida

If you liked this video, you can watch another that is basically the same thing from 3 years ago, Hey it is going to revolutionize boating - 3 years ago. Enjoy:

Heck you can go back 20-30 years and the Fuel Cell will revolutionize the world
At some point, it might
don't know when
but I don't see other RV companies clamoring to be the leader
they are just fixated on shiny cabinets and vinyl floors that look like wood
and the sound they make as they click close with that positive locking
History has shown over and over again that to be the 1st at something
that succeeds
rewards the company who takes the risk
Like I originally said, I'm amazed that the company that has the most exposure
RoadTrek with the longest warranty in the RV industry
is now installing the unit on test RVs

Have you even looked at the Volta and Lithionics systems that are being installed by other manufacturers? They appear to be light years ahead of the trouble prone Roadtrek systems.
Are you sure you are not a Roadtrek shill?

No need or method to prove anything as you already know the answer.
History has shown that sometimes, certainly not all the time, anyone with an unreasonable, unrelenting, appearing degree of support for a given company or manufacturer may be a paid "promoter" or in some other way tied to the company being promoted. IMO, your postings certainly would fit that profile.
Not accusing, just asking.

Jeez you sure are judgemental of me and you don't know squat about me.
Why do you think you have the power to call me names?
Why put me down?
Why cast inuendoes over me?
I came here to see if "experienced" RVrs knew more than I did in 2 months of investigating RVs
sadly name calling seems to be the party line here
if I don't toe the line I'm called a shill?
Really - this is how you guys debate and discuss here?

booster, the fellow is trying to make a sale concerning Roadtrek that folks are not buying. I can't see where is has tried to learn anything.
He was asked why he is here with the answer of starting another thread and blaming someone else. But wait, he's back selling Roadtrek again when he said that there would be another thread.

It seems to be very obvious that many here have gotten screwed buying an RV
Honestly, I've not seen anyone here that I would pay 2 cents for their opinion.
So I'll try to find intelligent life at some other forum/chat room
you guys can call stranger you don't know names
good bye and good riddance

gosh darn, now there won't be another thread. Seems to often end this way, an individual offering bs vs the forum. Well, the few times it has happened.
And he was not even called a name, phony excuse to leave. Is that like saving face or just being defensive?
