On our last trip, both headlights would flash occasionally. It appeared it mostly happened when we hit a bump in the road. Also noticed my DEF gauge blanked out a time or two as well when the lights flashed but not every time. I believe my house battery is bad because it doesn’t hold a charge longer than about two days with everything shut off. We do not boondock so I’m not in a hurry to replace the house battery. Could the house battery being bad cause this problem since I’m sure it’s all wired together. We have a 2019 Coachman Gallery on a Mercedes chassis.
a duff battery will put a load on your electrical system
replace it or find a way to electrically isolate it so it doesn't load down your alternator ( such as removing teh negative cable(s) from the house battery
a $100 problem can become a $1000 problem if left as is.
issues with the van electrical system could be reacting to a load like from a bad battery- and relays dropping connection
given how delicate the computer controls are in an import, the high service costs and a possible supply chain across oceans.
Were it American the first course of action would be to replace the headlight switch which has a high current limit switch which can fail. It is a real trip to have the headlights fail at speed at night. It must be fixed.
