Provided I'm careful, is there down side to rerouting the exhaust from the generator using flexible hose? Right now the pipe ends under a window. I want to run back toward the rear. It might be a run of 10' or so.
If you can be assured the flex pipe will not leak (very important), then my question would be whether your rear door seals are air-tight. The re-routed exhaust will be much closer to the bottom of your rear doors than to the side window it is currently under. Maybe that extra foot or two of distance to the current window opening helps dissipate the CO from your generator?
The spirals in that kind of flex pipe hold water and the acid that is in the water, especially on a pipe that long. That can make them corrode quickly if they are not stainless steel. The corrode at the joint in the spiral usually and then either corrode through or flex a bit and break the corrosion causing a leak. For a pipe that long, you may want to consider using an adapter up to 1 3/8" exhaust pipe to keep backpressure from getting too high. An exhaust shop should be able to bend up a pipe in 1 3/8" which is a common size, unlike the 1 1/4" which nobody will have the dies for.
