DC to DC Up Converter/Regulator.

I have a PowerStream PST SR-500 DC-to-DC up converter/regulator. It will take 10V - 14V DC and output 13.8V. I have misplaced the documents and can't find online. I have contacted the company and waiting on a reply. This unit is handy for using regulated power, like HF radio, PACTOR, etc. I removed it form the boat and apparently lost the manual in the process.

Any "Sparkies" out here that might have an idea how to use the "Power Control" pin? Here is a diagram of the device that may help.


INPUT SIDE ONLY (Main power switch OFF):
- to PWR CTRL= Continuity
+ to - = OPEN
+ to PWR CTRL = OPEN

INPUT SIDE ONLY (Main power switch ON):
+ to - = Continuity
- to PWR CTRL = Continuity
+ to PWR CTRL = OPEN


I'll try and sketch a switch diagram (logical) with these details. But perhaps someone here has had a similar encounter with a control circuit and save me from warping my brain all around it.

To close this out - I just got a message from the company.
Guess that says good things about PowerStream!
Any business that responds to customer questions is becoming something I look for.

Input terminals

+ positive 12VDC input
Power CTRL Apply +12VDC to make unit turn on
- negative 12VDC input

I am considering building it into my HAM Radio "Go Box" and now can get to work on the layout.
