Default Combination voltmeter/ammeter function

Does anyone know what the ammeter part of these combination displays is showing? Does this display the current being drawn, ie, the total amperage load currently on the system, or the amperage going into the system by the charger? When not charging, will this display a negative value with a load on the system?

Is there a specification?, difficult to extract it from the picure as it shows 10A, not +/- 10A. It seems there is no negative sign option on the display.

Installed as shown it would be amperage delivered at the moment. I see no sign of an accumulation function.

Here is an apparent link to what is pictured

I see no mention of total amp hours available or accumulated discharge amp hours. If you only want the info that is provided it looks OK, but to use it as a battery monitor, no good.

We have used one identical to this for a year now and it is working well.

There are more elegant units with more features but they run into hundreds of $$$.

At only 10 amps of DC current, I don't know what we would use it for.

We do measure low current use regularly, but with the battery monitor that can also handle the high current stuff as everything is tied together.
