Default Battery? 1996 coachmen class b van

Hi, my house battery is under the hood on passenger side. I just bought the van and it has a pretty small cheapo battery in that position. I assume I should get a normal decent sized deep cycle rv battery for this spot but just wanted to double check. There's plenty of room. Thanks

I bought a 2000 sportsmobile 2 yrs ago and bought deepcycle wet cells. To do over again I probably should have bought AGM's,.
I found out my inverter charger wasnt working right and had to replace it several months later. It wasnt charging right and probably wasnt good on the batteries.
So , consider the right sized battey (maybe type 27 , I'm not sure what size fits yours). And be sure to check that your shore charger is working as it should.
Ive also got some parasytic losses that i havent tracked down , and the house batteries will discharge more than they should if not on shore power .

On my Chev chassis Roadtrek I squeezed a series 31 truck battery which usually are good for about 5 years and are relatively cheap under $150. Gives lots of cranking power and reserve and are made for abuse.
