Hi: Here is a link to the new Onan inverter generator by Fit RV. You can skip to about 8 minutes.

What do you all think?

Do you know if this is a direct replacement to the older MicroLite 2800? Thanks David

Close. We still don’t have a report from someone that did his own upgrade and could relate to us the complications.

Exhaust changes seem to be the major complication. The old exhaust pipe probably won’t work complicating the upgrade.

If it helps, we did the following (recently completed, and tested on 3 camping trips so far:

1: replaced our 2 AGM batteries with Li-Ion
2: installed a high end charger/inverter
3: installed a 2nd high-output alternator in the engine.

Now, if we want a generator, we just run the quiet, efficient, works-at-all-altitudes engine.

next step is to pull the generator out completely and install a bunch of batteries in it's place.

I believe you'll be very satisfied when you drop the generator and install more batteries.

During late winter/early spring of this year I made these changes to our 2020 Galleria.
a. removed the factory-installed generator.
b. removed the factory-installed 330ah AGM battery.
c. installed twelve 105 ah lithium batteries.
d. installed a Nations 3-belt 280 amp aux. alternator.

We're pleased with these new changes.
