Fridge is compressor and lights are LED. We are working on figuring out the radio - it's an aftermarket does-everything Kenwood that doesn't necessarily go to sleep when you turn off the ignition. Again, a wiring diagram for the installation has been hard to come by, but we have requested it.
Curiously, the usb port in the dash will not charge the phones unless the engine is on. You would think the ambulance prep package would have allowed for continuous charging, considering the small draw.
I'm not too concerned about being off grid for extended periods since we tend to drive every day. For sure, we can go 24 hours without issue. The only devices that require 120v are the microwave and A/C - and recharging the laptops. I'll see if getting a 12v charger and leaving them plugged in overnight (and off) will take care of that.
Unfortunately, it's clear I can't work from the van without an inverter so our trips will be restricted to weekends and vacation days until I retire. But that's OK because, again, I'd rather spend time going places than spend time working ON it just so I can work IN it.
