Default 6 years plus from costco interstate 27DC

pretty good result

we started this summers trip knowing the battery was somewhat worn and it proved to be so giving us 2 or 3 days service rather then the 5 or 6 days we get with our typical use

approaching the point where the worn battery could stress the charging system, replacement took 10 minutes in the Spokane costco parking lot

as i recall I had topped off with distilled water probably 3 or 4 times over the years & never let it get fully discharged

costco # 850982

I assume you meant 27DC? We used one for the starting battery for quite a while, not a bad battery at all. When if finally died I replaced it with a 24DC Costco Interstate and it lasted barely a year. It appears that Costco has been changing vendors on a lot batteries, and it appears the DC series in one of them that have gone, probably, to Exide, which for me mean complete junk based on past history. So beware of the new ones and check out the reviews of them which have gotten really, really, bad recently based on what I found when ours died so soon.

I was going to replace with a NAPA (East Penn) DC24 but decided to go instead with a pure starting battery in gp24 from them. East Penn seems to be the only ones getting consistently good reviews anymore with Johnson Controls also slipping.

I have a thread on here about the Costco batteries from just recently.

yes thanks, 27DC costco # 850982 interstate branded

I watch my batteries, so if it proves weak, I'll get it back to the seller and do-over

I use an east penn agm in one of my motorcycles

I'll fix the typo up top

use is in a 2006 Pleasure Way lexor TD with led lighting

dc native tv

no inverter ( no ac current use)

fridge on propane

added fans on the fridge draw max 750 mA/hr

rare use of the vent fan or other DC loads

A big thing we saw on DC24 was that it didn't come up to very high voltage, maybe 12.6 but it dropped right off it when it sat to 12.5ish volts. Specific gravity also low. Used no water so really a combo battery or starting battery, I think.

By the time it failed it had nearly no capacity either and then just up and quit completely.
