I need a good wiring diagram to hookup the remote start for the 2800 Onan. It would be at the connector going to the remote start inside. Thanks for any help.

Are you wiring in a new Starter/Hour Meter panel for your Onan? If so, I can help you as I just replaced mine this week.

Yes, I have a print of one but it's not very clear.

The connector is the small rectangle (300-4946 part #)rather than the flat white one.

Have you tried to contact PW directly. They do keep wiring diagrams. Email is Michaelp@pleasureway.com

Sorry but they ask for the last 6 digits of your VIN.

Don't know if this is what you're asking for, but here are pics of my Onan panel wiring. Please understand that the wire colors on my '2012 Airstream Avenue (Chevy Express chassis) did not match those shown on the final diagram. The repeating "white" wire is called a jumper. I think you can still read the original wire colors on the diagram. Unfortunately, I crossed them out and relabled for my purposes (not knowing anyone else might benefit).

I had the benefit of taking these pictures of the old wiring so that I could easily place the new ones on the same connections.

Hey Rowiebowie, My remote wire is 5 different colors, as the same as the crossed-out colors are. Actually where I need the diagram is where it comes out of the gen and then goes into a connector there is where I need the diagram. But thanks for your time and info.
By the way if any of you are taking out your gen and going to solar I have the abs box from mine if anyone is interested.

Ha, ha. I guess Airstream decided to use their own wiring colors in their infinite wisdom.

This is the Onan Service Manual for my "KV" model and several others of the '2009 to '2012 vintage. If it doesn't cover your model, there should be another manual out there for Mircrolite and earlier years at http://www.manualslib.com/.

Again thanks, I will look at the manual to see. Just got the gen started for the first time, now it wants to lung up and down and is not getting any power inside. Checked the breaker on the gen to make sure it was on its okay. Will just have to do more trouble shutting.
