Embassy SL Class B RV
Now that we've had our Embassy SL Class B RV for a little while, thought I would add a review...
The Embassy’s are built with no wood, therefore no mold worries. Also, the entire build uses marine grade vinyl, so no worries about things getting wet either. Some people will love this but some want more options for colors and finishes.
They all have uperior insulation… no worries at all about staying warm in winter or cool in summer. Heating uses the gasoline you already have in the tank, so no extra propane to deal with.
It’s also has a powerful battery system. We got the Mastervolt 920 Ah batteries, but you could spend a little less and get the Lithionics 630 Ah batteries. We like the extra power that lasts forever. It also has a second alternator so we can charge while driving or even more slowly when parked. No need for solar panels on the roof.
And it is STEALTH! Not a single hole anywhere on the body except for the 30amp plug. And since we have the split a/c system, no big a/c on the roof.
There are always issues of course, but nothing I can think of at the moment!
Be seeing you!

Likely big, but stealthy. This "review" lists main advertising talking points.

Just saw ModVans has the largest available battery for class B van. 1000Ah to 2000Ah max. The entire van floor is the battery. Very interesting by doing it this way, the battery consumes very little space. About 1 inch for 1000Ah and another inch for the 2nd 1000Ah?

Difficult not to. The things I like about it are the main features.

Very interesting... is this a 12 volt system?

PSA: Mildew & mold don't need wood. Dust plus moisture will do it. It will form on synthetic materials also.

True... but the wood in RVs is behind the walls, so not exactly easy to get to.

I really liked the Embassy RV design in general. But the toilet options, or lack of, was a deal killer for me.

What van did you decide to get instead?
The options for the Embassy are now the Laveo Dryflush or the Separett Tiny.

Yes, it is 12 volt. The only appliance requiring inverter is the microwave. Even the heating and hot water tank is 12 volt DC. You can order their largest battery and get 2000 Ah of battery but will lose another inch of height in van. The battery is integrated into the entire floor. Very interesting concept. They are not crazy about diesel or gas fired heating systems? Something about high altitude precariousness?

Have not decided yet. I would have moved forward with Embassy RV if they still offered the cassette toilets. But they won’t do those any longer.

Yeah... they had some major issues with macerators, so that kind of killed it for them.

"Something about high altitude precariousness"
Altitude does something to that kind of heating system, not enough pressure or something. I thought that was propane only though, but I could easily be mistaken. I usually am!

My cassette doesn't need a macerator.

Embassy was using a cassette that went to a macerator so you wouldn't need to take the cassette out and dump it... nice idea, but didn't work out well...

“Cassette with macerator” is a very, very questionable concept, like a dentist working through ears. From my perspective “Cassette with macerator” just doesn’t make much sense, contrary to “Black tank with macerator” which does and is well proven as evident by large group of followers.

That was a bit of a strange setup - one of the many things that Terry claimed were so good but were not.
But I just wanted a plain cassette toilet that I could remove the tank from back door. When I visited Embassy RV last year - they would not do a cassette toilet of any kind.
