Default Ziploc Omelette - maybe not a good idea

From Motorhome Magazine

"Last month we suggested you try a Ziploc Omelette, a recipe sent to us by a reader. In response to the recipe, we have received several warnings that the process could prove harmful, with the following official memo from the company, SC Johnson: "We do not recommend using any Ziploc brand bag in boiling water, or to "boil" in the microwave. Ziploc brand bags are made from polyethylene plastic with a softening point of approximately 195 degrees F. By pouring near-boiling water (water begins to boil at 212 degrees F) into the bag, or putting the bag into the water, the plastic could begin to melt." For more information, please contact the Consumer Relationship Center, SC Johnson, A Family Company, (800) 558-5252, or visit http://www.scjbrands.com.
