Default Convection/Microwave Replacement

The 2003 Samsung Convection/Microwave oven in my Roadtrek 210 Popular needs to be replaced and I'm looking for recommendations.

The oven itself throws an error code and then shuts off. I have removed it and tried it inside and it does the same thing in my home, so it's time to look for a replacement.

High Pointe is what they are putting in the new 210 populars so I'm looking at those as well as the Contours that I have found.

I've looked online and also read about issues in RVs like ventilation, power requirements and heat so I am considering a regular microwave as a replacement.

Your thoughts?

Microwaves don't cost a lot. When mine crapped out I just went to WalMart and found one that fit the space.

I did make a few changes in the way it was mounded so if it happens again I will not have to remove the refrigerator to change the Microwave.

I bought a LG LMC1575BD Mid size 1.5 Cu. Ft microwave today at Best Buy -

It fit nicely in the cabinet and save me a bunch of weight over the Samsung convection/microwave that it's replacing.

I just need to secure it to the cabinet-

I bought it with a walk in replacement guarantee for 4 years due to the environment that it will operate in.

Looks good. I doubt you used the convection function anyway.
Have fun getting it mounded... Looks like you have space left over.

I'm brainstorming a way to secure it so that it is safe and removable...

Sportsmobile had mine held in with screws from the refrig compartment up through the board between the refrig and micro and into the bottom of the micro. That meant I had to pull the refrig to get at the screws. So

I used a couple of half round trim board across the front bottom of the micro and across the back bottom of the micro so it sat in a hole that it could not get out of without being lifted a half inch of so. The half rounds were screwed into the board between the micro and the refrig.

Then I used another board to fill the gap at the top so the micro could not bounce up and get out. That board was screwed in place from the top.
My space over the micro was not the same as yours so you may need another way of doing it.

Have fun.
