Another hot one it was! Stayed in a campground for a couple of days near the Kenai river again and had a very hot enjoyable time. Lots of Reds still showing up in the river and folks having a great time fishing them. Dipnetting closed the end of July and what we have now are only the rod and reel folks, that means a lot less folks camping and fishing the river now. Most of the CC are not to capacity, which makes it nice. About the only real excitement we had was a Brown Bear visiting a couple of the sites the first night. It seems that a few of the campers did not heed the warning signs located EVERYWHERE and left their food smelling items outside. A busted up BBQ in one site and a cooler containing foodstuff in another was all that happened. I bet those folks from outside learned a very cheap lesson on camping here. Things were put away the next night as we noticed on our evening stroll. Anyway, a fun time was had and the Pendleton tasted a little smoother this trip. As a side note... noticed only one Class B this trip, a mid 90"s clean looking Roadtrek.
