Default Ruby's - Bryce

We had such an incredible trip though the SW last spring, that I'm deep in the planning stages for another trip next spring. Unfortunately, we'll be arriving at the Bryce Canyon area on a Saturday in late May (but before the reservation window starts).

Has anyone stayed at Ruby's just outside the park? Most of the reviews are very positive, but I'd love to hear what folks here have to say.
We had reservations there this past May, but I cancelled them based on the advice of some members, and it worked perfectly. We arrived on a Tuesday morning by 10:00, mainly because we were coming there from Zion.

This time we're coming from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and again, it's on a Saturday. Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

We live in Utah and have been there many times. It's like a 70's motel. Not bad but certainly not fancy. Has a series of lodging buildings , restaurant , big tourist gift shop and groceries, gas station, etc. . Lots of activities in winter and summer. Right outside the entrance to the park. Very busy place!

Thanks for the info. I made reservations for the RV park a couple of days ago, but might still drive into the park to see if anything is available the day we arrive. We stayed last year in North campground and loved it, so if something is open I might be willing to sacrifice my $ at Ruby's - we'll see.
