Default Pedernales Fall SP, Tx Hill Country

Just returned - had reservations for 3 days/2 nites - left after the 1st nite. Website shows the nice Pedernales River - neglects to mention that from the RV sites it's a huge hike (down, then back up an unimproved trail) to get to the water.

Maybe "ok" for youngsters but not safe for older knees - even our normally active 30lb dogs couldn't wait to get back to the Van.

Very unlevel sites, nothing but scrub oak, cactus, dry grass to view at the sites.

Visited Fredericksburg for lunch and window shopping - nice. Stopped by Luckenbach for another look-see - it's getting way-too commericialized for my taste.

Decided to skip the paid-for 2nd nite at Pedernales Falls and drove home. We must be spoiled after spending time at the very nice Inks Lake SP.

I don't recommend.
