Default Newfoundland to Alaska, and back.

We left NL on July 19th, took us 85 days in our 2000 Dodge Roadtrek. We stopped in to visit family along the way, spent a few nights in the NWT, Yukon and all the other provinces. Spent some time in Alaska, travelled through Tok, through Chicken and into Fairbanks, eventually travelled down to Anchorage for a few days. Also stopped in for a visit where our Roadtrek was built in Ontario and had a great visit with the staff at both places. We met many other owners with their Roadtreks along the way. Everyone of them were great people!

Our numbers
26,719.6 Kms (16,000 miles), 4,703 litres (1035 Imperial gallons) of gas, 9 jugs of windshield wash, 3 oil/filter changes, 4 new tires (old ones, while they had lots of tread, were sun cracked on the sidewalls, changed out in BC), new torque converter (vibration at certain speeds since bought in January, issue resolved in Prince George BC). Total cost doesn’t come near the experience and sights seen going across this beautiful country and into Alaska, North Dakota, etc. This is a trip that should be on every bucket list.

I put some pretty neat pictures on Instagram, go to gary.oconnor2018 in Instagram if interested in seeing some of what we did!
Best regards,
Gary

Gary & Olive,
Sounded like an exciting and long trip. Driven many of the same locations and lived in Alaska for three years. Have not been to Newfoundland because of the long sea trip and out dog. She doesn;t like being left alone for long. Maybe one day! We have a 2006 Roadtrek 210 Popular. Been through all the USA and most of the Cnadian Provinces. Wishing you continued safe travels.
