Looks like fun! The Heart Attack Grill in Chandler AZ
http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4632991n
I think I'll have to look for this place next time we're in AZ. It looks like fun... definitely not someplace that you'd want to eat at every day, but if you're road tripping and doing lots of hiking (like we normally do) I doubt it could do too much harm. Anyway, it's a fun video and a great gimmick!

That is quite a place, and do agree would be worth checking into if in the area. I think I'll pass on the triple burger and go for a kids meal if they have it.

I'd eat there (once or twice maybe).
Looks like it would be memorable.
I'm thinking south to FLA (when/if we finally get organized) for a bit then west along I-10.
Seems like it passes through some places I've heard of and wouldn't mind seeing.
Mike.

If you're in New Mexico, look for the 4B's restaurant. They have some really good home cooking meal and the best tomato soup that I've ever had (don't tell my Grandma I said that!) Their service is also exceptional. They also have a couple of restaurants in Montana.

Thanks for the tip. We're always looking for new eateries along the way.
We can only do so many Big Macs and fries.
My wife loves tomato soup, so we'll be on the look out.
Mike.

Send me a PM if you would like the recipe. I've tried it a couple of times and it's not as good as what the serve in the restaurant, but still pretty tasty and surprisingly easy.

Wow, did you see the quadruple bypass burger ! Did they say 4 half pound patties? The reporter didn't look so good after eating it and then they wheel you out in wheel chair
I'd maybe try a double bypass burger........

Defenitly looks different. I will put it on my vacation list. If I happen to be in the area passing through I'll stop in for a single burger just to experiance it.

Re: Looks like fun! The Heart Attack Grill in Chandler AZ
We stopped there last month on our marathon sightseeing trip. It's a peculiar little place
just east of I-10 in suburban Phoenix in a strip mall.
The waitresses wear fairly skimpy little "nurse" outfits. As do the mannequins.
When I walked in I thought I was in an adult entertainment
establishment, based on what I've seen in books and on TV. :P
We were there around 05:00 p.m. on a Tuesday and the place was deserted.
We didn't stay, or try anything from their menu, so no info on that, sorry.

Re: Looks like fun! The Heart Attack Grill in Chandler AZ
We seen this place on television - the programs Drive-Ins, Diners & Dives and another called Man vs Food. They did a sket of the nurses checking pulses, etc. - that burger is a monster, but from the programs people love the good ole fashioned greasy burger that is truly huge. When we seen the program the place was of course crowded. If you go don't forget the Bromo or your favorite antiacid tables. I'll pass, but sure is fun to watch!!
