IL to MT: The first trip in my new, 1993 InterVec Falcon.

Last December, I purchased a nicely maintained, 1993 InterVec Falcon 190SLF with 47,000 miles. I recently completed a 3,000 round trip from Illinois to Montana with my wife and two cats. This was also my first long distance trip in a class B and it turned out to be one of the best road trips I've ever taken. On the way to Montana, we went through Iowa, Minnesota, and North Dakota. On the way back to Illinois, we took the southern route through Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. I was amazed at the beautiful scenery along the way, especially the sunrises in hills of eastern Montana.

Great pictures....what kind of weather did you run into at this time of the year.

The trip was late December to early January. I couldn't have asked for better weather. It was a bit windy at times, but we only hit one light flurry of snow in North Dakota. The rest of the trip was' pretty clear and sunny until we came back through Wisconsin/Illinois in January. I don't know if we just got lucky.
