Default Hawaii

Hey everyone, just joined the site and am really enjoying all of the info that is available, a lot of great links and important info. My girlfriend and I are planning a trip from our current residence in N. VA, up to Alaska and then down to Chile and home again, somehow. Just out of curiosity though, has anyone done a trip to Hawaii. I was there early this spring and was wondering how tough it is to ship a vehicle there and how easy is it to find camping. I think it would be a great place for vanners aside from the long shipping. Anyway glad to have found this site and look forward to sharing our thoughts and ideas with you all. [/quote]

I know driving there doesn't work to well.
LOL
I would think that the cost to ship a camper there and back would cost a few bucks

I tried driving, no luck. I'm curious to know what it would cost to ship there. Im not sure it is even allowed, i would assume there would be a lot of camper vans if it were.

It might be more cost effective to rent one there.

We are hoping to go to New Zealand and rent an RV one of these days. You can rent a class B there for only slightly more than it cost to rent a car. I think it would be a great way to see the islands.
