Default Have you been to The Valley of the Gods?

Hi, just planning a fall trip, and the valley of the gods in Utah is big on my list, it looks amazing, with blm land and boondocking heaven,,, seen lots of pics, but wanted to ask if anyone here has been, and any words of advice as where to go, and when is the best time to be there,,,,etc,,,,, thanks,,,,

Yes It is very cool, besure to check out Goose-neck State park as it is right around the corner.

Early June, 8 years ago. I drove it in a 4x4 tacoma. 4x4 is not necessary but high clearance maybe on some of the washes, I just can't remember.

Moki dugway and muley point are down there as well.

It was so quiet it was like a sound chamber, you could hear your heart beat.

Accidentally found it after discovering 'another accident' - - a trip down the Moki Dugway on UT 261. Unless you're faint-of-heart, we'd strongly recommend both.

Valley of the Gods is a 16 mile gravel road, but unless it's wet, you'll have no problem. Hit is early in the morning or, as we did, late afternoon - - the lighting then is spectacular.
