Default Xplorer XLW or XLWT WANTED

Greetings all:

Long time lurker, first post.

We've sold our Class A and I'm looking for a clean, low mileage Xplorer XLW or XLWT from a private party. Condition is important. Location is not too important to me, but I do want the twin bed option.

There are currently about twelve XLW's for sale across the country that I have found, either by dealers or private parties, but only one with the twin beds.

Any help from anyone would be appreciated!

Regards.

Frank

Welcome to the forum Frank!

Your specs may be a tall order based on the scarcity and age of that model.

Good luck.

Thanks!

I know it's a thin market. Like I noted, there are about a dozen XLW's currently on the market, but none that appeal to me for varying reasons. Took me months to find the Class A that I wanted, also very specific and thin market. I tend to be patient.

So long as you're not in a hurry, it's ok. Took us a year & a half to find the "perfect for us" class b.

I would be willing to part with my 2000 XLT. It was perfect for my business use the past few years, but my wife does not like to camp in it because it is just too small for her tastes. It does have the 2 side beds that convert to a king size.
Low mileage and well maintained. I have all the maintenance records. We are located in Wisconsin and would like to have it gone before I need to winterize it. <grin>
Contact me at mike_schwartz@hotmail.com for details.

Yeah, I'm seeking one also, but in the Seattle/Portland area. I recognize the age related issues and powertrain parts obsolecence factor being increasingly problematic, afterall they are now some 20 years old.

Default Dodge 3500 parts not an issue...

I haven't had any trouble finding Dodge 3500 parts for my Xplorer XLT. I can't vouch for Chevy or other manufacturers, but there were a lot of Dodge 3500 trucks/vans produced with model years that had compatible parts that fit my Xlporer. I haven't had to do a junk yard search yet...

My son lives out in Seattle. You might just persuade me to drive it out there so you can take a look at it. If you buy it, I can fly back to Wisconsin...

Hi Frank! Are you still looking for this model? I need to part ways with mine. Too big for my city-living needs. Just purchased from a Class B dealer last month. Only 42K miles. Just not gonna work for my needs.

Below is a list with pictures and prices, of every 230 XLW that I am aware that is currently available in the 48 states. I hope it helps others.

I have reviewed the Community Rules about posting, and hopefully am not violating any rule. I do not have any interest in any listing (below) and am merely sharing for the benefit of those who are looking as I am. Hello Mike,

We have a 1999 XLW, have you been able to purchase door seals for the double doors before?

Thanks,

Chuck

Default Try your local Dodge dealer for door seals

I've not needed door seals, so I wouldn't have any idea. If your Dodge dealer can't help you, I would try an automotive customizing shop or even a window and door manufacturer.

For example, this company might be able to provide new weather stripping:
