Hi everyone. Happy New Year!

I would like to buy a 2004-2005 Chinook Concourse 2100 XL with the Dinette configuration.

At RVtrader.com there is a 2004 Concourse in McMinneville Oregon that has the dinette configuration.

Default 2003 Chinook

I may have found one. $38,000 with 40,000 miles. Very clean. New generator, tires, garage kept, one owner.

Many people have told me this is too much money. Maybe...probably. what do you think?

Just wondering. Why a Chinook?

I like the look. The fiberglass body. The beefy Ford engine. The interior feels spacious and accommodates a group on an outing. There are some cons. Gas mileage, no room for toys. What are your thoughts Keyne?

No real thoughts on my end just really curious. I think Chinooks are interesting and a bit different than the traditional so I was interested to hear from someone that wants one. We are short Sprinter based van people (if that's even a thing...) so for the size we wanted the options became limited quickly. In your price range I have no idea what else is out there, but I hope you find your Chinook and let us know how it goes.

Thanks Keyne. We'll see what happens. It is on the east coast and I am on the west. A daunting process for a wannabe.

Debra

We are in research mode right now looking at Class B's. The Chinook was built well and if they maintained it should be a good buy. I am wondering if buying an older RV makes more sense since so many issues with the newer ones. Everyone tells you it is normal to have it in the shop in the first few years due to things that need to be repaired. However, some shops are very slow in scheduling and repairing the rv's.
