Default Unopened 100Ah Battle Born Batteries For Sale

2 x 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Heated Battery Kits.

Price $900 each.
Free shipping within the 48 US states.
Quantity: 2 available
Warranty: 9+ years left on their 10-year warranty

Battle Born batteries are the best and most respected Lithium batteries on the market, ask anybody. Each battery has a built-in BMS (battery management system), which prevents them from overcharging, over-discharging, and overheating, guaranteeing a long service life of at least 10 years.

Battle Born 100Ah 12V LiFePO4 Deep Cycle batteries have a life expectancy of 3000-5000 cycles with a 100 Amp Continuous current, 200 Amp Surge Current (30 seconds) and ½ second surge for higher loads.

They are direct drop-in replacements to your lead-acid or AGM deep cycle batteries. Lithium has no memory, so deep-discharge cycles are not required. In fact, it is better for the battery to use partial-discharge cycles. They are also much lighter and more compact for the same power capacity.

Weight: 29 lbs each
Dimensions: 12.75 X 6.875 X 9 in. (L x W x H)

Ordered these for a van build out that I won't be able to complete. Haven't even opened the box.

"They are direct drop-in replacements to your lead-acid or AGM deep cycle batteries."

Don't you need a totally different charger etc, or does the BMS handle all of that with the original (say AGM) charger/converter?

"Lithium has no memory, so deep-discharge cycles are not required."

As far as I know, neither lead acid nor AGM batteries have a memory effect, and no deep discharge cycles are needed for them. Are you referring to Nickel-Cadmium batteries? I don't think those are widely used.

"In fact, it is better for the battery to use partial-discharge cycles."

One could argue though that partial discharges being better is a bit of a bummer, wouldn't it be nicer if they could be fully discharged on a regular basis to take advantage of the higher capacity?

Also, my understanding is that its also better to not charge them fully and keep them that way.

Just trying to understand the allure of these batteries besides the higher energy density.

IMO, there is no such thing as a true "drop in" lithium battery that would use all the lead acid equipment. All the parameters that keep lead acid happy don't really line up with lithium batteries and the BMS is very rudimentary for actual control and mainly good for emergency backup shutdown if primary controls fail.

Also check with BattleBorn to see if your buyer can get the 10 year warranty.

$874 for the battery by itself. $949 for the heated kit offered above. But agreed there may be warranty transfer issues, I have not confirmed with BattleBorn.
