I have a 2016 PW Lexor TS. Did you install UHG? Why get rid of the generator? Just curious? Thanks

Not sure what UHG is?

As noted in the post, I removed it to install additional batteries. I rarely used it, usually only to run the microwave.

UHG is second alternator(high output) so you can charge your lithium using chassis engine. Engine usually has to idle a bit higher rpms.

How are you planning on charging your lithiums? The standard alternator from Promaster? How large is your lithium battery bank? Thanks for the information.

Thanks. I am aware of the second alternator setup. The lithium version of the Travato uses that (48V I believe). For me it was too complicated, expensive and in the end unnecessary for my setup. My use typically does not use anywhere near the capacity of my pack (500 amp-hr @ 12V; on a typical day I might use 10% of that) and involves some driving each day so I was less interested in having a fast recharge (I also have a couple hundred watts of solar). I decided on using the stock alternator with a 60 amp DC-DC converter to ensure I don't overtax the alternator. I did consider using a Battery Isolation Manager (Precision Circuits) to manage it but didn't like that it would fully load the alternator and then suddenly disconnect potentially creating a voltage spike that could damage the alternator and other electronics.
