Default MUST SELL - 1977 Dodge Xplorer

Must sell by 6 December. Van was bought for $2000 and has had about $6500 put into it. Make an offer, cryptocurency offers and trades will be considered. Full details below.

Do you want to go on an adventure, are you are looking for a weekend vehicle to explore in or one to make your permanent home? This vintage Dodge Xplorer will have you smiling along the way as you receive admirable looks and inquiries from all that you pass.

The van, designed in to be a motorhome that you can fit in your garage is built on a 1977/78 Dodge B300 chassis and only has 105,000 original miles on it. It was bought in New Hampshire and has had over $6000 invested in it to get it past the tough state inspection there. Since then it has been up to Cape Breton in Nova Scotia and across the states, covering over 10000 miles with no problems. It will be parked near the lighthouse at Steamers Lane in Santa Cruz from the 2nd December for anyone who would like to view it.

It is the perfect size van, with a double bed in the back, a toilet/shower area, kitchenette with a dropped floor allowing for standing room and a closet with a propane furnace to keep you toasting during the winter months. There is a lounge area which would lend itself to being converted back into a table and chairs, though works well as it is at them moment with easy access to the two plate propane burner and refrigerator. All of this in a van that can fit in a standard size parking spot. She drives great and will happily putter along on the motorway at 60.

We have been living in the van full time and will be passing it on good to go, ready to move into and hit the road. This means that it comes with loads of additional goods including cooking utensils and cutlery for two, two camp chairs and table, bedding, LED lighting, annual national parks pass (valid to Nov 201 and best of all a library of books worth over $100.

We have really been enjoying our adventure in this van and would like to pass it on to someone who can continue to receive joy and enjoy the simple life in it. To make this more accessible we are open to trades of all kinds and will evaluate them on an individual basis. As an example trades that would be on interest include sailing boat, windsurfing gear, canon 5d mk 4 / 1x mark ii, but really we are open to anything. We'd rather have someone be happy with the van and feel they got a good deal than make money on it, were just trying to cover some of what we have spent on it. We are especially interested in trading it for cryptocurrency such as bitcoin or ether. So make an offer!

Below is a list of the work done on the van since purchase, most of it was done by AutoCare Plus and is covered by 50k mile warranty ( also included with the van is AutoCare Premium membership which comes with nationwide towing and free oil changes - only in new england):

New brakes all round.
New shocks all round.
New front pitment arms.
New horn - required in New Hampshire.
New wiper motor and wiper blades. - there seems to be an issue with these and they need to be adjusted.
New portions to the exhaust.
New rear bumper
Rust on the under carriage repaired.
New air filter.
New water hose.
New deep cycle battery for auxiliary.

As mentioned the vehicle is good to go and is currently being driven around the states. That said it is an old vehicle, 1977, and as such it could do with some additional TLC to restore her to mint condition, there are a few things that do not work, listed below.
The left indicator signal light on the dash does not work - indicator works fine on outside.
The fuel gauge does not work - our solution to this is to carry a jerry can with 5gal spare fuel. This will be supplied with the van. You soon become accustomed to this and find yourself doing mental arrhythmic working out your miles.
The previous owner fixed some rust spots on the body using some sort of metal tape, while this is functional, it does not look great and you may want to redo these at some point. Speaking of the rust there are a few small rust spots on the driver side near the roof. The body could also do with a good polish, we bought a complete set of turtle wax to restore it but have not got around to it, this will be supplied with the van too.
Finally, the water tank has a leak, the pump works and creates pressure and water runs when faucets turned on, but the water leaks out from the tank somewhere. We've only tested this once and have not investigated further to see where the leak is exactly.
